ATTICA – Paul Andrew Hannon, age 54, of 920 S. Brady St., Attica, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette at 6:20 p.m. Friday, April 3. He had been ill since February 23. Mr. Hannon was born Jan. 25, 1916, in Portland Arch, the son of John and Cora Bushman Hannon. A life resident of Attica, he married Frances A. Hagley on Oct. 11, 1941, at Morganfield, Ky. She survives and is a clerk at the Attica IGA store. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: two stepsons, James and Dale Strawser of Attica; three sons, Ricky and Bob Hannon, both of Attica, and John Hannon, in the military service in Maryland; one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Spivey of West Lebanon; one sister, Mrs. Daisy Davan of Rossville, Ill,; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home here. The Rev. Dennis Bratton officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery. – jlr

Attica – Paul A. Hannon, 54, of 920 S. Brady St, died in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette at 6:20 p.m. Friday. He had been ill since Feb 23. He was born in Portland Arch and was a life resident of this area. Mr. Hannon was married in 1941 to Frances a. Hagley in Morganfield, Ky. He was a grinder at Harrison Steel Casting Co 16 years and at the time of his death was in the maintenance department there. Mr. Hannon had been a sexton at Riverside Cemetery three years and a member of the Christian Church at Portland Arch. Surviving with his wife are three sons, Jacob Hannon with the military service in Maryland, Ricky and Bob Hannon at home; two stepsons, James and Dale Strawser of Attica; a daughter, Mrs. Paulette Spivey of West Lebanon; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Devan of Rossville, Ill.
